There are many new styles of wine emerging from France and this Wine Experience will let you taste some of the best. New techniques doesn't mean losing old traditions so you will get the best of both worlds as we taste our way through France - with some French cheeses of course.

The Italian Wine ExperienceFriday 20 January 2012 7.30 - 9.30pm
This is always our most popular tasting experience. Start with a great example of Prosecco then taste your way through Italy, and finish with a big Nero d'Avola blend from Sicily. Italian winemakers always make their wines with food in mind so for this special evening we will have some Italian cheeses, hams and sun dried tomatoes to accompany the wines. Early booking is advised as this sells out quickly.

This is a very informal evening with a lot of interaction and discussion. No knowledge of wine is required but it does help if you do enjoy wine as we will be tasting a range of wines with a selection of canapes.
We will discuss the main grape varieties as well as which of the new and old world wines you can pair with food. We will also cover the main flavours of food, as well as “difficult” foods that can be a challenge for wines.

The very mention of Champagne gets the attention of all wine lovers who appreciate good wine. We will taste a range of Champagne styles, learn about the process of making this kind of wine, as well as look at matching Champagne with food. Salmon and some strawberries are already on my shopping list for this tasting so it is an evening not to be missed.
A real treat for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, anniversaries or just to celebrate the start of the weekend. Who needs an excuse to taste Champagne?
